Join us for a special November meeting featuring Catholic Charities, where they will introduce their impactful work in our community. Catholic Charities offers a variety of services, including Mental Health Counseling, Adoption & Pregnancy Support, and Immigration Legal Services, but their presentation will primarily focus on Financial Health Services and Refugee Resettlement Services.

Opening Updates:

Join us for an important update on the surge of judicial activity surrounding Koble and the numerous class certification cases across Wisconsin. Plus, we’re excited to announce the return of our regular "Legal Forms Review" segment—an essential resource for staying current and compliant with rental management practices. Don't miss out!

Presentation Overview:

  • A brief introduction to Catholic Charities services, including Mental Health Counseling, Adoption & Pregnancy Support, and Immigration Legal Services, highlighting their commitment to providing a legal pathway to citizenship (5 mins).
  • Overview of Financial Health Services and how these resources can assist members and their customers in achieving financial stability (5 mins).
  • In-depth look at Refugee Resettlement Services, focusing on the unique housing needs of refugees resettling in Green Bay, including who arrives, why they come, screening processes, housing support, and the challenges faced in securing accommodations (20 mins).

Objectives for Attendees:

  • Gain awareness of valuable resources available to support your tenants.
  • Learn about the local refugee resettlement process, who our new neighbors are, and the ongoing support Catholic Charities provides.
  • Discover potential partnerships with Catholic Charities that facilitate access to housing for resettling refugees.

What Catholic Charities Hopes to Gain:

  • Connections with property owners interested in supporting the housing needs of resettled refugees.
  • Opportunities for property owners to connect tenants with a range of supportive services offered by Catholic Charities.

We invite you to join us for this informative session and to stay for a Q&A session to discuss how we can support the needs of both property owners and the resettling refugee community.
